I'm Laura,
and I'm Not Here to Fix Your Baby

I'm a Registered Nurse of 12 years and a Certified Baby-Led Sleep Specialist, and I'm also a mom of two kids under four who has spent a lot of nights awake doing math about naps. I started Strawberry Moon Sleep because I kept meeting parents who were told there was one right way to get a baby to sleep, and it usually meant walking away from their instincts to follow a method. I think that's backwards. Your baby isn't broken and neither are you.

Where This Started

Twelve years of nursing, in telemetry, emergency medicine, cardiac rehab, and case management, taught me how to look at a whole person instead of one symptom. When I had my own kids, I brought that same lens home.

I trained as a Certified Baby-Led Sleep Specialist and put in over 100 hours studying sleep science, attachment theory, safe co-sleeping, and gentle transitions, on top of more than four years of my own breastfeeding experience. That combination, clinical training plus a lot of personal 3 a.m. reality, is what shapes how I work with families now.

What I Actually Believe About Sleep

I don't teach cry-it-out, and I don't believe in prescriptive methods that ask you to override your instincts. Babies are wired for closeness, and that doesn't stop being true just because everyone's tired. My role isn't to hand you a rigid schedule. It's to help you understand what's actually going on with your child's sleep so you can make choices that feel right for your family, not someone else's.

Who I Love Working With

I work best with parents who are curious, a little detail-oriented, and open to doing things differently than the mainstream advice suggests. You don't need to convince me that respectful parenting matters. I already know.
